About Angela Cater
Growing up amongst the beautiful Peak District countryside that surrounds my hometown of Chesterfield in Derbyshire, I began drawing animals at an early age. My first drawings were often of horses, but I gradually moved on to include all animals. I moved to Manchester in 1992, and soon after started experimenting with my "Character Cats". They offered me a cheerful escape from the ever present threat of violence prevalent on the estate where I was living.
My family of cats provide me with much inspiration and you will meet them all in these pages.
In recent years, I have written, illustrated and self-published a number of children's books. This is something I absolutely love doing, and I am always willing to help friends to realise their own dreams of publishing a children's book.
